I'm off to a real slow start with reading this year. For the first time in a long time I don't have any books! I'm on the reserve list for several at the library but it's just not my turn yet. :( I was able to check out this one as an ebook. Did you know you could do that? I use the overdrive app and it works with lots of library systems.
This one was great for me. It was fun to read about someone who also has a crazy project. I connected to her as blogger and someone driven to do something a little different. I thought I would really enjoy the food and cooking parts but most of it sounded really gross. I'm fine with lots of butter but not so much with brain, liver, dissecting live lobsters, etc. Despite the gross parts, she's a very funny writer.
Next up for me are these two books recommended by Thad. The wait wasn't too long for these. I already have the one and have started reading. This is what usually happens to me when reserving books at the library: I reserve 8-10 books. I wait and wait. I have nothing to read. Finally, one comes in. I go to pick it up and 6 more are ready now too. Then I'm overwhelmed with books and don't have time to read all 7 before the due date. It's a Murphy's Law thing I think.
Book recommendations are always welcome! Also I'm on goodreads if you want to connect up there.
