I'm excited to get started on this new weekly series I'm calling Fursday! I'll be teaming up with a couple local rescues to share the incredible stories of some furry friends who could use some help. This week, meet Aria.
Aria is an 18 month old Pyrenees mix. She came to Rescue One on July 23, 2014 with a severe case of demodectic mange and was very malnourished.
Thanks to Rescue One she was has been with her foster mom for almost six months and is thriving. She now has a white coat with speckles of gray. Just look at that smile!
If you're looking for a dog (or cat!), please check your local rescue or humane society first. Maybe it's not the right time in your life for a new furry friend, that's understandable. Everyone can do something to help. You might donate to Rescue One or your own local rescue group. Or you could just share her story. Aria's forever home is out there somewhere. Help her find it.
Update: Aria has been adopted. The best part is she lives in my neighborhood and I get to see her every once in awhile. :) The painting is still available. All proceeds go to Rescue One, Springfield MO.
