165 small changes

two-headed me | year of creative habitsThis was the last page of my watercolor moleskine. I love this sketchbook, highly recommend it. The color of the paper is better than the drawing ones, less yellow. The weight and finish of each page is just right for both drawing and watercolor. I will definitely get another but for now I'm thinking of trying something different. The beauty of working a little each day is that you never know. Some days turn out really great while other days are horrible. There have been drawings and paintings along this journey that I wished weren't in the sketchbook so that I could easily frame them up. Sure I could tear them out but I don't like that there's something on the back. I could paint on every other page but that seems like a waste of a sketchbook to me.

Today I'm cutting down a large piece of watercolor into pieces similar to my sketchbook size. I'll grab one each morning. When they're gone, I might have a few worthy of a frame. I might find ways to reuse or redo the others. A small change like this keeps things interesting and invites me to think differently. I like the idea of leaving them out and continuing to work on them over a few days. Oh the possibilities...
