life through my lens 06

We're seeing signs of spring round here and we are SO ready. There's a spot on our walk home from school with (I think they're called) lawn violets. It began with just a few here and there and now they're all over.  Clara and her friends pick a few each day.

I don't quite think it's shorts weather but others around here seem to think so. And it would be good to get a little sun on those legs!

Even though we've had warmer weather, we are still passing around a cold. Eli is finishing it and Clara is still in the thick of it. It's so lovely how they share everything...

These two stopped to read Stampy's Lovely World on the stairs in a patch of sun. Gotta take advantage of those moments.

Saturday was 75 degrees! A friend asked me what we planned to do that day and we joked that it was a lot of pressure, to think of something good for such a rare day in February. We packed up a few things and spent the day at the park reading in hammocks, playing frisbee, and checking out all the dogs.

We don't have many house rules but one is 'no devices after shower.' So bedtime always looks like this and I love it!

On Sunday, Clara and I got to attend a little party at the Springfield Art Museum. We played the game exquisite corpse, though they didn't share that name with the first graders! We had a fantastic time and it seemed so fitting to me as that's a game that Frida Kahlo enjoyed and played with creative friends.

While we were there, we took a quick look around. These were a few of our favorites:
