It's procrastination central around here so you know it's productive to write about the things rather than to actually work on them, no?!
In 10 days I drop off my paintings for a solo show at Obelisk Home in Springfield Missouri. I have exactly zero paintings ready to go. Lots of finishing and framing and photos and panicking will be happening. That's just how I roll.
With so much extra time on my hands ;) last week we decided to rearrange our house. We moved my studio to the old living area and our living room to the kitchen/dining/now living space. It was a ton of work. I'm just now getting everything put into place but it was worth it! I have so much more light in my studio. Everything just feels better, cozy and better. Next week, I have a photographer friend coming over for a photo shoot and I'm super excited.
Also last week, I had an awesome consultation with THE Tiffany Han. She helped me wade through some of my ideas and make decisions about which ones to implement this year. Lots of exciting stuff planned but of course that comes with lots of hustle. And I'm sure a healthy dose of procrastination. With all that on the horizon, I have to force myself to stay focused on the next big thing...which is this upcoming show.
My new, square business cards arrived. (from Moo.) The square seems to fit this year's project better. My new Warby Parker's should be here tomorrow. That'll call for a selfie! So it's just figuring out what to wear to opening night and oh yeah, framing about 30 paintings. Then, I'll be good to go. ;)
