I don't get outside nearly enough. I easily go several days without leaving the house. Then a trip to the store might count as getting "out." I get jealous of the mountains, the beaches, and the more temperate climate of other places. So this year I've made it a goal to go on one big hike each month and explore awesome new places that aren't that far away.
Yesterday was our first trip and it didn't disappoint. This is Lost Valley in Arkansas. The weather was perfect, about 50 degrees which is so un-January-like for us. Hiking doesn't usually give me new ideas but it does clear space in my head for new ones. It's sort of a reset button for my brain and body.
