Man, reading really goes in spurts with me! It was a whole lot of nothing and then in the last couple days, I finished my current book plus another one.
Attachments was the book recommended for me by this Buzzfeed quiz. (I'm a Capricorn.) Silly yes but I wanted to see if it really was THE book for me. Eh, it was good but not in my top favorite books or anything. For me, the best part of Attachments was that it is set in 1999. The Y2K bug is a big part of the story line. I loved all the 90's references: Zima, Blockbuster, Julia Roberts, etc.
The Art of Social Media is a small book with lots of visuals. I read it last night. Power tips for Power Users is the subtitle and it's written just like that, a list of tips. I wouldn't call myself a power user (nor do I want to be) but I did learn a few things.
To read 50 books this year, I need to read about one per week. That means I'm about three books behind right now. If you're like me and you're a little behind on your reading goal, you might want a quick win. Here's a list of books that I read in just a few hours:
And graphic novels are often a fast read so here's two that I read in a couple hours. They are both beautifully done.
Your turn! I need a few quick wins. What books (that are worth reading!) did you read in just one day?
