Wednesday was the first day of school!!! We were excited, we were nervous but all went well. This is the first year they are at different schools and on different schedules. We are still figuring out the logistics of that. :|
I found this photo in our photo stream. Clara took it with her new iPad mini while I was making her mac and cheese before soccer practice. I like this photo. It's fun to see things through her eyes. There's nothing staged. The kitchen is messy with lunch box containers and after school snack dishes and mail and sloppy dishtowels. But it's a photo that shows life right now. :)
And these are the photos from my Instagram stories this week. That seems to be how I capture our daily activities: petting Norman the cat on the way to school, packaging up one of my favorite paintings to go to it's new home, running errands with Spence...
There was a whole lotta reading this week, a Springfield Cardinals baseball game in which we got to go onto the field, a trip to Gram and Pa's, and of course the eclipse!
I didn't bother with getting eclipse glasses so I ended up making the cereal box pinhole camera thing. It was pretty fun to view it that way. The kids got glasses at school and had a whole lesson on the eclipse.
Hank was not at all impressed by the eclipse and couldn't figure out why I was just standing around taking photos outside the door. I thought it was a lot of fun.
