I spent a good part of my day waiting for the FedEx truck to deliver white paint. It would have been a good day to tackle some chores or catch up on email but instead I listened to Elizabeth Gilbert's Magic Lessons in which she interviews Brené Brown about creativity.
"Creativity is, for me, the way I share my soul with the world. And without it, I am not ok. And without having access to everyone else's, WE are not ok."
"The only unique contribution that we will make in this world will be born of creativity."
"There are no such thing as non-creative people. There are just people who use their creativity and people who don't. Unused creativity is not benign."
And those quotes are just from the first 5 minutes! It's an amazing conversation that was absolutely worth my time. I hope you'll give it a listen. And now I'm off to buy both their recent books....
