Last week was not a good week overall but this life through my lens series helps me focus on the good parts. I can almost always find a good part or a silver lining. Our dogs always find the good, sunny spot even when it's right in the doorway.
We did finally manage to have a drink and draw after several weeks of everyone's schedules not allowing it.
Clara got a stomach bug. :( A good part? Look how attentive Spencer was to her. He LOVES kids.
It really sucked but when she starting feeling better, it made me notice all the little things that are so her...those things that I take for granted day to day. The way she talks and sings nonstop.
The way she is quick to smile and tell a joke or act silly.
How she is SO busy and curious.
The way she adores her brother and wants to do whatever he is doing.
At school Eli is reading the book Wonder which is an amazing book and I'm so happy that he is enjoying it. He told me this weekend that he felt like Via from the book because all the attention was on Clara and he has been left on his own quite a lot. At first, I felt really bad but then he said it was ok, he liked that he could take care of himself and he just wanted Clara to feel better.
Saturday morning I took Eli to Papa and Nonny's barn for his riding lesson. Nonny gave me this bird's nest that she found on the ground. She pointed out that the soft interior is made from horse hair. This little gift was definitely a good thing.
We ended the weekend playing wiffle ball at Grandma's new house and that was definitely one of the good parts.
That was life through my lens this week, the good parts at least.
