ugh. It was a terrible week for taking photos. I only took two with my camera. :( Boo!
Here's those two....Eli was in a class called My Magnus Opus where the students wrote novels, graphic novels, plays, scripts, etc. and then on the last day they performed them on stage. They were incredible...such a great group of fantastically talented and creative kids!
On Wednesday I hung my dead artist society series at Park Central library here in Springfield. I usually try to avoid places that don't have white walls but I think my work look great against their orange wall!
And then a few pieces are over on a wall white. (It's a little tricky there right now as part of the place is under construction.) I gave a talk on Friday evening and somehow managed to not take a single photo. I'm really bummed about that but the talk went pretty well so maybe there will be a next time.
A random paper that Clara brought home from school: Amerigag Nothic. And me on Friday morning at the peak of my stress level. :|
Artsfest was fantastic--perfect weather, lots and lots of dogs, and I sold some art. This is Scout; she seemed to like my booth a lot and I liked her. And then Clara's favorite parts of Artsfest: 1. foot-long corndog 2. snow cone 3. face painting!
This award was a huge surprise and so appreciated. I won the Gloria Galanes Award of Excellence last year and the Fear Monster kinda convinced me that it was fluke. This year's award really left me in shock. (Take that Fear Monster!)
I tried to get a selfie with Huck but he was camera shy and just gave kisses instead. :)
This week left in a puddle on the couch Sunday evening and Monday morning. I was SO tired, at least I had good company.
Last night we enjoyed a late dinner on our new little patio area that's still coming together but I love it already. These little solar lights make me so happy. And there's a robin's nest with eggs in this tree. I'm excited for a slow week and beautiful weather!
