Today and this weekend I'm participating in Lisa Congdon's I Am An Artist course. I'm pretty excited. I think it'll be a great kickstart to the new year. She always gets me thinking a little bigger and then has really tangible ways to put it into action. I had intended to share my goals and intentions for 2016 today but I think I'll wait until next week. I have a feeling this class will really shake things up for me.
I'm plugging away at this new daily habit. I haven't missed a day but it hasn't exactly been fun either. I'm still trying to find some direction or groove with it. I have some ideas for ways to turn the tide so we'll see what the weekend brings. I'm going old school and headed to the library to see what I can turn up.
I've gotten a few submissions for my new weekly project Monday Mournings. I hope you are digging up some photos and jotting down a story to email me. I can't wait to share the first one with you.
I didn't get a chance to share any life through my lens photos lately so today I'm sharing a few of my favorites of the past couple weeks. This was our third time in Gulf Shores and I think we grow to love it a little more each time.
I drew a little while riding in the car. That was something pretty new for me. I prefer to be seated at a table to draw so drawing in the car or on the couch puts me way out of my comfort zone. I need to work on that this year.
Then we spent a couple days in the Tampa Bay area. The weather was amazing.
With the change in my sketchbook size I haven't found a way to include food in my photos lately and I miss it! I like to cook. I like to eat! I really hope to find a way to include food at least part of the time.
And then a little love note on our whiteboard: I (heart) YOU. You are awesome. To Eli. Writed by Clara.
