Over the past week, several people have emailed or commented to let me know that they are beginning/continuing a year of creative habits. Here's a short list but I know I'm forgetting some, sorry!
- Beverly -- pomo golightly
- Heather -- dragonslace
- Tara -- weird with words
- Jaxx -- create.
- Rachel -- Rachel as artist
But I have something even better than a list! A great way to see people who are doing this is to go to Tagboard and look at the tag #yearofcreativehabits. Tagboard gathers together all the posts that have a certain tag. So if you are tagging your posts with #yearofcreativehabits on Instagram, Twitter, etc. then your post is already there! It's very visual, which of course I like. It makes it easy to see those doing it and then follow the ones that interest you. (here's a little Tagboard tutorial I made if you need more details about how it works.)
Ok, so now you've seen lots of people who are doing really cool, creative stuff and if you're like me you might start to compare projects. Don't. You probably know this but
Here's what makes your project better than everyone else's. It’s yours. You're doing it. You're learning from it. You're getting better. That alone makes it worthwhile. So stop comparing and get back to work. ;)
