Almost three years of daily making and finally I have my first print!
A couple of weeks ago I made a little mock up can for the #letteringportfolio challenge over on Instagram. My good friend suggested I turn the pattern into a print. I wasn't crazy about the lettering on it so I thought I'd re-draw it in the style of Andy's soup cans (which surprising to me are not screenprints but rather are hand painted.)
In case you missed the initial post about this idea, it comes from a quote in Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way:
"All too often, it is audacity not talent that moves an artist to center stage."
As an introverted artist I need a can of audacity a whole lot more than a can of whoop@ss. If you feel the same, maybe you'd like a print for your studio.
"Introvert's condensed AUDACITY instant success"
This print is a play off of Warhol's soup can collection. Instead of a can of whoop@ss, open up a can of audacity for instant success.* This 11x14 patterned print is for introverts who need more than a case of audacity.
- archival matte paper
- 11 x 14 inches
*warning: success is relative and this print (nor audacity) in no way guarantees success ;)
