Aah Finish it Friday is here though it feels like every day is Finish it Friday lately. That's bad because that's how crazy busy I'm feeling between preparing for events and finishing this project for the year. It's good though too. I mean shouldn't I be finishing stuff all the time? If I'm starting something new every day, couldn't I finish something at least every few days? One would think so. I'm a much better starter than finisher and that's definitely something I need to work on.
Here's a few things I've been thinking about over the past few Friday's:
It becomes a race to see how much can be accomplished. I paint this one and then I work on this one while the other is drying. I switch back and forth between two paintings and I feel "stuck" less. I become much more efficient with my time.
I'm tired of copying tasks over to the next day or the next week or even the next month! At some point I have to stop making lists of what I need to do and actually the things!
And this is the BIG one--having a clear, clean space to begin makes all the difference. I like to have my unfinished pieces laid out with space around them to work. Then it's like going from one work station to another. With my current set up, I have room for about 4 projects and that's about all my brain can handle anyway.
Next Friday, I'll be doing Craft Friday. If you aren't into Black Friday shopping, join us for Craft Friday instead.
