It's officially Fursday! Meet Justice. He's a two year old Golden Retriever/Pug Mix. How cute is he? He's 26 pounds...just a little furball!
The Haven says he's shy at first but loving and sweet once he has been around you for several minutes. I cannot count how many other dogs at the Haven that this also describes! These are dogs who have either never had a real home of their own or no longer have the one they had. No wonder they are shy at first.
For many of them, just being at the Haven where they are well cared for changes them. They have routine, something many aren't used to. Imagine how they'll change once they go to a forever home. They'll get attention like they've never had. They'll feel loved and safe and secure in a home that's all their own.
Please if you are thinking about adding a furry family member to your family, adopt one. There are all kinds of dogs and cats that need homes. One adoption makes a difference. At the Haven, there's a waiting list. When one is adopted, it makes room for another. Today there are 147 dogs and cats available for adoption at Haven of the Ozarks Animal Sanctuary. Many of them are fairly new which means they had several adoptions recently. Let's keep that trend going. Adopt, don't shop.
