This Fursday meet Wags! About two weeks ago Rescue One received a message about a puppy who had been sitting by his dead mother for days. A volunteer immediately went to look and found him laying on his mom.
They took him in and he's doing great. Rescue One arranged for him to be neutered and he is recovering from that surgery. He'll be at the adoption event this Saturday looking for his forever home.
Wags is just a puppy, about 4 months old. I know that he'll have no trouble finding his new family but I wanted to share his story to show what kind of organization Rescue One is! I'm continually amazed at how quickly they respond and how they continue to provide for and love these animals despite very limited funds.
Wags had a rough start but thanks to volunteers he's going to have a great life. If you'd like to help Rescue One continue to do what they do, they've put together this Amazon wish list of needed supplies and are currently raising money through this T-shirt sale.
I just want to send a huge thank you to all the volunteers at Rescue One. You are making a difference in not just Springfield but all of southwest Missouri. High fives all around!
Update: Wags has been adopted. The painting is still available. All proceeds go to Rescue One, Springfield MO.
