I'm slowing down on my progress toward my goal of 50 books this year. I gave up on The Interestings; I read about 75 pages and just couldn't get into it. Then I started the Rosie Project. I was hooked from the very first page. It's the most fun book I've read in a long while. I'd describe it as a Sheldon Cooper love story...Aspies Rule! Big thumbs up for The Rosie Project! No thumbs up or down for Making Ideas Happen. It was one of those books that I had to read at the right time. It sat bedside for at least a month. I found the first half of the book really helpful as a creative's approach to project management. I started using some of those ideas right away. I couldn't relate much to the second half of the book since I don't work with a team of people very often but maybe someday.
Then there's the usual stack of books bedside! Hubby recommended Making Habits, Breaking Habits. He listened to the audiobook and thought it would tie into my project Year of Creative Habits. The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared and The Snow Child were recommended by blogging friend Jane George. I'm not sure which I'll start this evening but I'm excited to get back to reading fiction.
