18/52 | portrait project

Week 18 of the 52 portrait project created by Jodi at Practising Simplicity. The idea is simple: one portrait of each child, once a week, every week, in 2014.

Dear E,  You decided to spend some of your savings on the Spiderman 2 video game. We talked about money. You talked about selling your toys and starting a business. Your business ideas are 1) answer questions for people and 2) fix things. We talked about staying calm when you are frustrated with yourself and other people. We asked 'what would Obi-wan do?' You have 10 days of school left. You are looking forward to swimming this summer. I'm looking forward to that too. Love, Mama.

Dear C, You are so excited that your hair is long enough for pigtails. It didn't take you long to get used to the feel of them and now you want them most days...as long as it doesn't take me too long to do it. You are also really excited about going on a field trip with your preschool. You are finally tall enough to open the pantry doors on your own. And that means that you sometimes sneak candy out of there. [Yes, I know you are doing that.] You are looking forward to picnics, camping, and swimming this summer. I can't wait either. Love, Mama.
