Some highlights from 2018:
I showed my work at The Vandivort. I had a booth at the Hip Handmade Market, Artsfest, and Cider Days. I also had a new assistant (my daughter) for my booth shows and she is fantastic help!
I got started selling wholesale. My RBG painting from 2017 continues to be one of my best-sellers and helped kickstart my wholesale sales.
I took a lot of photos, not as many as last year but still enough to make our family photo book.
I got to see the Georgia O’Keeffe exhibit at Crystal Bridges.
I researched 11 artists and learned a little bit about 20 more. I got started with Patreon and learned a lot about that platform/process. With the support of my patrons I was able to create 6 Dead Artist Society activity books, four patches, three stickers, and two enamel pins.
and now some lows:
I still haven’t finished (or even worked on) the book that I started in 2017.
I didn’t write much—not as many blog posts, not as much for my newsletter.
I didn’t see as much art in person— fewer museum and gallery trips.
And last some goals for 2019:
read fifty books and continue to love reading.
take lots of photos and make our family photo book. I need to kickstart myself in this area so I may be in the market for a new camera or new phone this year.
get new headshots and studio shots taken.
write—more blog posts, better newsletters, finish my book.
work on my business systems—especially for shipping, accounting, project management, and wholesale.
spend less time on social media and more time on my own platform.
rest and relax more.
restart my society6 shop.
spread the word about my wholesale stuff and get into more shops.
go to more museums, galleries, and concerts.
more story, illustration, and symbolism.
more analog and less digital.
