June was not big reading month for me. Maybe the whole summer will be that way? I read 3 books for a total of 34 this year.
Book 32 was Everything Happens for a Reason and Other Lies I’ve Loved by Kate Bowler. Really, really good book that I read in a couple days. I especially liked the appendix of what to say and not to say to people experiencing terrible times.
Book 33 for the year was Educated by Tara Westover. This was fascinating. I couldn't stop talking about this book. It made me think a little of The Glass Castle, only I liked this one better.
And then while on an airplane I read Papergirls volume 4. I'm not really sci-fi kind of person; I totally read this series for the color (I go ga-ga over the colors in this series) and the nostalgia.
So only 3 books this month and already July is off to a slow start. I've started Daybook: The Journal of an Artist by Anne Truitt, Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman, and My Morning Routine by Benjamin Spall and Michael Xander. Reading three books at once is not a good way to finish any of them. :)
