I guess it was a pretty typical week for January in Missouri. I'm trying to adjust to and embrace the cold. One day last week Thad and I met up for lunch and tried a new Japanese place. Thad has been to Japan several times and I've been once so we are always on the hunt for 'real' Japanese food. OMO Japanese Soul Food did NOT disappoint, perfect for a below zero day.
Clara takes French and was really excited to get a King Cake. She chose a Ron Weasley figurine for the top. :)
Both kids are doing indoor soccer and futsal games. I didn't even know what futsal was but I think I like it even better. It's very fast paced and exciting.
It snowed! My guess is we got more than 6 inches of snow. It's light and fluffy, very pretty but very cold. (I didn't take any photos!) We went out and played in it on Monday. Today it's bitterly cold and school was cancelled because of the wind chill. I cleared off and started my car, hoping for school tomorrow! One snow day is enough for me.
New Year's Day I got a wild hair and rearranged furniture, switching out our living area with my studio. We are all loving the new living space, especially Hank as his pillow is now in front of a heat vent.
I still have some work to do in my studio space and then I'll get pictures of the new set up.
