We've had a few occasions this summer when storms have knocked our power out. They are finally figuring out that it's not a big deal, just grab a lantern and some cards.
Over the weekend we went on our annual camping trip to the Current River. It's tradition to take a group selfie just before we leave.
We got there in time to set up camp and take a sunset paddle.
And then the next day we did a longer float. It was weird for it be cloudy and relatively cool in July. It was *almost* too chilly to swim in the spring fed water.
Hank is a 9-year-old grump of a dog so it was really fun to see him playing in the water this year. He would walk up to leaves floating on the top and put his paw on them to sink them.
Typical camp stuff--corn on the cob, hot dogs, smores...
hammocks and lots of reading.
