This morning I discovered that it is National Handwriting Day. It might seem silly at first but think about the dying art of writing by hand. This school year I taught my second grade son to write in cursive. It fascinated him, such a sophisticated way to write. I love to watch him write, slowly and deliberately he practices. I love to flip over old photographs to see the script of my ancestors. I love how everyone's writing looks a bit different. So this afternoon, I took time out to celebrate my own handwriting.
This seems to be my mantra this year. So try this today. Make something using your own handwriting. Share it with us and use the tag #yearofcreativehabits.
