What do your ideas look like? I mean, how do they look when they're still in your head? Recently I realized that even though I consider myself a visual person, my ideas aren't visual. When I have an idea in my head, it takes the form of words. When I put ideas down in my notebook, I usually begin with a list or a phrase. I then create something visual from the words. For me, only when I completely understand something, am I able to present it to you visually. I can't do it when it's just an idea. I have to explore it, live it, see it, play around a bit. Then I can give it to you in its visual form. It's a powerful realization...to begin to understand my own thinking processes. Take some time to think about your own. When you get an idea, how does it look in your head? What does it look like when you initially record it? How does it change over time?
