Today's #31playful days prompt from Tara was a "favorite line of your favorite poem." I'm not big into poetry but I love Shel Silverstein. I thought one line might not be enough of an image for me, so I looked through his shorter poems and chose this one.
She had blue skin, And so did he. He kept it hid, And so did she. They searched for blue their whole life through, then passed right by-- and never knew.
As I look for ways to add more meaning and story to more work, this was a great exercise. I'm really getting into abstract work lately. Here's a few artists that I've been loving...
I know how difficult good abstract paintings are to make. While they it may not be recognizable, I still want to have a story and meaning behind it. I think some new projects are beginning to find me.
