I'm only a book or two behind schedule to meet my goal of fifty reads this year. Hooray! A great way to catch up is to find a book that you can read in a day and that's what happened with Dept. of Speculation. It's an odd but good one.
I really enjoyed Better: A Surgeon's Notes on Performance. If you're interested in quality, which is a topic I've spent some time thinking about this year, it is a really fascinating read. I especially liked the first section on diligence and thinking about how this applies to my art and creative habits.
I plan to read Attachments next. This book was recommended for me through one of those silly Buzzfeed quizzes. I have read Rainbow Rowell before and usually enjoy her books so I'm curious if I'll like this one even more.
So this is my library hold list right now...my librarian either loves me or hates me, I'm not sure.
- Better Than Before
- The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up
- The Fringe Hours
- The Year My Mother Came Back
- The Checklist Manifesto
I have books saved on my amazon wishlist and on goodreads and photos of books on my phone. I really need a better system for saving books that I might want to read. What are you reading now? And how do you keep track of recommendations?
