Wow. It was pretty fascinating to hear about her process to make her 'documentary illustrations' like this one about the San Francisco Public Library. I had no idea she put in so many hours and made so many drawings. I also love that everything is very old school and analog. I'm looking forward to her upcoming project about dying.
Another wow. It's always interesting when two seemingly unrelated things overlap. Both McNaughton and Ringbom spent time working in Africa on projects with political ties. I'm interesting in seeing Ringbom's documentaries, looks like The Russian Winter is available on Amazon. I'm so happy Design Matters is back from sabbatical, looking forward to catching up on all the episodes.
