Since I know that I'm a marathoner, I know that it helps me to break big projects up into little parts and do a little at a time. Some might say it saves time to do all the drawing, all the scanning, and then all the computer work. It very well may save time but if there's a lot of scanning or computer work to do, then I know I'll put it off.
Today I went ahead and scanned my first three days of the twelve days of Christmas. It's helpful for me because not only am I doing a little of the computer work along the way but I can start to see things I might want to keep doing and things I might want to change on the next few drawings. Seeing them together like this helps to define my color scheme and on the next few drawings I'll likely just repeat these colors. I can also see that the numbers 2 and 3 are to the lower right of the drawing, so I'll want to vary the placement of the next few numbers.
