I wanted to do a quick recap of the Hip Handmade Market last weekend. It was my third time at the event and it's one of my favorites. It has a nice, relaxed feel to it that I like. It also helps that I'm getting better at preparing for and and being at events like these. It's a lot of work but I think after a few, you start to realize which parts pay off and which parts you can let go. This time I had a smaller booth (6'x8') and took only 50 pieces. I sold just as many as usual and paid less in booth fees. (win, win!)
This was the line starting to form out front. :)
Here's a look at one of the two rooms. That's my booth right in front and I'm leaning over doing something awkward as usual.
Here's a look at my Fursday series. I got those great (battery operated!) lights at Target in the patio section. The shelves that I use in my booth are from IKEA.
These are my friends Summer and Brittany of Culture Flock. I love this photo because Brittany is sort of hiding and Summer is looking up...that so fits their personalities! I bought that aqua shirt there in the front for my daughter. It says "Don't tell me what to do!" and she absolutely loves it. She likes to read it to everyone, just in case you didn't notice what it said. ;)
This is Dustin of DG Stewart Hard Goods. I haven't bought anything from him yet but he's on my list. I love his stuff. Next time for sure!
This is my friend Kendra of Kwanalee. She has got to be one of the most creative people I know and every single time she does something just a little different with her booth, this time it was that pink backdrop.
Also on my list for next time are these dog collars with matching bow ties from Mackenzie Monroe.
I was wearing an aqua gingham shirt on Friday just like that bowtie on the bottom. We joked that I could match with my dog! Weird but sorta tempting. ;)
I also got a leather hand strap for my camera from Two Belmont Sisters. The craftsmanship on their work is beautiful.
Until next time Hip Handmade Market....I'm already putting together my shopping list!
