We had a fantastic time in St. Petersburg. We stayed at the Hollander Hotel which is an old hotel that's recently been redone. We chose based on photos and the price was in our budget. Then crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. We had no idea that this would turn out to be an awesome choice! The pool area was fantastic. We spent a lot of time there after breakfast and in the late afternoons. There was long open front porch area that was great for lounging in the evenings. And the hotel was centrally located to everything we wanted.
We stayed in the arts district and walked everywhere, like 8 miles a day. We stopped on just about every corner for me to take a photo of a mural. It turned into a fun little project, collecting photos of them.
The following day we rented stand up paddleboards. Captain Neil gave us an idea of where to paddle and we ended up hanging out in with a group of dolphins while they rounded up a school of fish for lunch. It was amazing! We just sat on our paddleboards as dophins swam all around us.
The rest of the trip was all walking, eating, and drinking! Surprisingly I didn't take very many food photos. I got pretty fascinated with the plants and trees, so many varieties that we don't have here in Missouri or they look much differnt there.
And now it's back to our routine. But we sure did miss the kids and puppies. :)
