It was fun to see my Monday mournings series up at Tea Bar & Bites and then at Artsfest. I've had them put away for awhile so it was good to get them back out and revisit them. My kids suggested adding a few new ones to the series so I followed through with their picks.
Here's some process pictures from my Instagram stories:
And then the final piece of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia...
That one was so much fun that I got started right away on the next one.
And the finished Alan Rickman as Snape...
I'm still working on my 100 day project. (I usually share those in my Instagram story.) Lately I've been having a lot of fun turning my paintings into digital pieces. I'm really enjoying simplifying the color even more and making them a little more geometric.
These two are still in process. It's such a great thing to work on in the evenings. I don't have to worry about enough natural light like I do with my regular paintings and it's something I can do while I watch the Royals game or a kids movie.
I also like the idea that I'll have a little something to keep after the painting sells. If you're interesting in purchasing a Monday mournings painting, they are available in my shop.
