This year I'm trying to match last year's fifty reads. This morning I finished my fifth book, The Sisters from Hardscrabble Bay. This one was recommended to me by Hillary. I liked it from the very start. For a book that I liked pretty well, it took me a lot longer than usual to read. I'm not sure why that was...that usually only happens with books that I'm not that into. Anyway I finished it this morning with tears in my eyes so that's how I know it was a good one.
I have been waiting for The Rosie Effect for quite some time and I finally got my hands on it today! The Rosie Project was one of my very favorite books from last year and I'm excited to get started on the sequel tonight!
And here's a few other books that I recently added to my reading list...
- Better: A Surgeon's Notes on Performance by Atul Gawande
- The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo
- The Fringe Hours: Making Time for You by Jessica N. Turner
- The Year My Mother Came Back by Alice Eve Cohen (not released yet)
