I read a few chapters of the 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out Of the Window and I just couldn't get into it. I reserved The Snow Child from the library based on my friend Jane's recommendation. When I got the book, I read the book jacket and I'm pretty sure I rolled my eyes. It did not sound like something I was going to like but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It has a Little House on the Prairie feel to it with characters that I grew to love, especially Esther.
I've anxiously awaiting the release of Austin Kleon's new book Show Your Work! It felt like a little handbook to my year of creative habits project. It made me feel like I'm moving in the right direction with my work.
The stack of books beside my bed is getting ridiculous and I seem to have a thing for yellow right now. I'll read a few of these and others I'll just thumb through before returning them to the library. I've started Brain on Fire and The Doodle Revolution.
