7:10 a.m. I started the first load of laundry for the day and then found Eli in the kitchen eating his breakfast. He's been a little under the weather lately so he has kleenex nearby.
7:15 a.m. I opened up the blinds throughout the house and the dogs settled into one of their favorite spots.
7:20 a.m. Thad made coffee before he left for work. I poured my cup and grabbed a bowl of granola. I ate on the couch with my planner and phone.
7:25 a.m. The dogs moved from the front door to beside me on the couch. After breakfast I went upstairs and found Eli in my bed and Clara still asleep. I hopped in the shower and got dressed.
8:05 a.m. Clara woke up and we went downstairs for her breakfast.
8:20 a.m. I cleaned up the kitchen and went upstairs to see what the kids were up to.
8:30 a.m. Clara wanted to paint her nails for the big event tonight. Then the kids watched Pokemon while her nails dried. I packaged up a painting to mail.
8:45 a.m. Eli and I sat down to start homeschool. Only three more days to go!
9:15 a.m. Clara was hungry again already. I fixed her up a "rainbow fruit" plate. I folded clothes and put the next load of laundry in to wash.
9:30 a.m. It seemed like the perfect time to run to the post office. That is until I discovered that my car had a flat tire. I texted Thad about it.
9:45 a.m. We moved homeschool to my bed for math.
10:05 a.m. I let the dogs out again while I folded clothes and put in another load.
10: 15 a.m. I got started on my daily painting.
11:00 a.m. My knight in shining armor arrived to fix my flat tire! It's bike-to-work week here in Springfield so he biked home to fix it on his lunch hour. (I think the camera in his face was a bit of a surprise...he's not THAT excited about my flat tire.)
11:05 a.m. Geography on the couch. We read about Puerto Rico and it's quite possible that inspired my painting.
11:30 a.m. I made a hot dog for Clara and fixed a quick lunch for me. I took a photo of my painting and posted it to Instagram.
11:45 a.m. Fedex delivery. More wood panels and frames arrived. Then dishes.
12:00 p.m. Clara watered the flowers and garden.
12:40 p.m. I folded the last of the laundry. Homeschool was done and the kids started playing Wii.
1:45 p.m. Thad was not having any luck getting the last lug nut off the tire. He stopped working on it for a bit and drove me up to the Arts Council office to pick up my check from Artsfest and renew my membership. He also stole my camera and took a few photos.
2:15 p.m. I fixed Clara lunch or another snack, I lost track. Then I went upstairs to write my blog post.
2:30 p.m. I suggested to Eli that he rest on the couch with a movie since he wasn't feeling so great and we had a long evening ahead. Clara quickly got bored with Star Wars and played on her own.
3:15 p.m. Thad was not having any luck getting that last lug nut off. It seemed like a good time for me to walk the dogs. While I was gone, he decided to give up on the lug nut and just air up my tire.
3:45 p.m. We rushed my car to the shop get the tire fixed before they closed.
4:45 p.m. We ate a quick snack and got ready for Clara's preschool graduation.
6:00 p.m It was a special day. Clara has gone to this school for the past three and half years. Before that Eli went here. Before that Thad grew up here while his mom was the director. There's a lot of history here for us. We waited for it to start.
6:15 p.m. The kids walked out and lined up. They were all adorable. They sang "I'm a little graduate" and "Skinnamarinky Dinky Dink." Then they said what they were going to do in Kindergarten next year. Finally the graduates names were announced and they got their diploma.
6:25 p.m. Afterward, it was hugs and cake and flowers and photos with all her friends.
6:40 p.m. We said thank you to her teachers and I got a little hug too. I'm so proud of this girl. It was just this year that she's come out of her shell at school. Now she's known by all as the joke teller. :)
7:00 p.m. We took a family photo in the lobby and headed home.
7:30 p.m. We ate Chipotle and then the kids started showering.
8: 50 p.m. They cleaned up the toys from today, put away all that laundry that I did, and brushed teeth.
9:05 p.m. I read Big Hero 6 to Clara while Eli read on his own. They were both out like a light.
9:30 p.m. I headed to bed and tried to do a little work. I sent a couple emails and then read a chapter of my book. It was a long, full day.
*Most of these were photos were taken with the FujiFilm X100 and a few were taken with the iPhone6. I edited them entirely on my phone using the Priime app and then put them together with the Diptic app.
