This month for the year of creative habits book club, we're reading Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World. I'm not very far into it yet and I'm really wanting to skip ahead. ;) I know I need to be more focused and I don't really need convincing so just get me to the practical bits, ya know?
Now, let's just get all the dog photos out of the way, shall we? Hank was feeling a little camera shy this week, so Spence is getting all the camera love.
When the dogs put their paws out like this, I always think of the children's book The Fire Cat. Pickles the Cat has "big paws and wishes to do big things with them." And like Pickles, Spencer is a mix of good and bad and we could really use a Mrs. Goodkind to help him find his way.
I can taste summer! Five more days of school for the kids and you'll find us here every morning.
She's using this little notebook we found in a junk drawer as her new diary.
He has replaced kicking the soccer ball against the fence with throwing a racquetball against the house. It's always something.
At school one evening for fine arts night and a lemonade stand.
If there's one thing they've learned at school this year it's how to ham it up for the camera. :|
Mini golf on Saturday night. This old run down place is $2.50 a game! Cheapest entertainment in town I think. Both kids got a hole in one; both parents didn't. ;)
